Loving "the least of these"
In its simplest definition, missions is an active involvement in Jesus' command to love "the least of these." Matt 25:44-45
In our commitment to faithfully honor the Lord by loving this way, we have many avenues of outreach in which to impact those across the street or around the world.St. Pauly Clothing Shed -- when you put your bags of clothing in the shed, all of it is given to someone who desperately needs it, where they live in our country or in a far-off place. Donations made to this shed also results in an increase in a benevolent fund that is used to help local people in need.Recyclable Bottle Drop -- all the bottles you drop in this outside bin generate money for the support of missionary endeavors around the world.Crisis Care Kits and Pal-Paks (school supplies) are ongoing projects, as we work collectively to assemble essential items to be given to the poor, displaced, or tragedy-stricken.Alabaster Offerings are taken in February and September to support the building of schools, churches, hospitals, and more on mission fields.World Mission Broadcast offerings provide funding for broadcasting the Good News of Jesus Christ even to the most remote communities in the world.
